About

The Cytometry and Biomarkers UTechS (CB UTechS) has the mission to facilitate biomedical research through innovative technologies.

The CB UTechS is affiliated with the Center for Translational Science (CRT) and the Citech. Our affiliation with the Center for Translational Science allows a close collaboration with the Clinical Coordination and a support in regulatory aspects of clinical projects engaged at the CB UTechS. We collaborate with the IcareB to facilitate access to human biobanks. The scientists involved in translational research are welcome to join the weekly CRT open-desk if they require an integrated CRT-support to their projects.

The thirty cutting-edge technologies available at the CB UTechS are selected to allow cell phenotyping and sorting, protein and RNA profiling in bulk and at single cell level. The equipment is installed in six dedicated laboratories, enabling optimal experimental setup and sample analysis. A significant part of the equipment is situated within two fully equipped Bsl2+ cell culture laboratories allowing manipulation of human and infectious material.

Since 2011 the CB UTechS is ISO9001 certified, providing quality assurance of our service and  we are an IBISA-labeled platform.

CB UTechS is highly collaborative platform, both nationally and internationally. We are a long-standing partner of Milieu Interieur Project and have been the stake-holder of the first years of the study. We are an active member and Center of Excellence of the Federation of Clinical Immunology laboratories (FOCIS).

HOW TO ACCESS: The CB UTechS welcomes projects and teams from the Institut Pasteur, from the International Network of the Institut Pasteur, from academia and industry. We are an open-access facility. In order to obtain access to our technologies and services, submit your project through our electronic project submission tool.

Research groups wishing to include our support in grant applications, or who require help with writing are encouraged to contact us prior to submission.

EQUIPMENT

CB UTechS is an integrated technology platform for multidimensional cell phenotyping & molecular profiling. We propose single-cell cutting-edge technologies and data analysis pipelines. All technologies are bookable through the PPMS online equipment and training reservation site. The equipment is installed in six dedicated laboratories, with a significant part of the technologies situated within BSL2+ (biosafety level 2 +) environment allowing processing of human and infectious material. SERVICE

CB UTechS proposes to the community: (1) training for autonomous use of the equipment; (2) assisted use for a selection of technologies (cell sorters, cytometers); (3) advice and technical support; (4) development of new of applications and pipelines; (5) scientific collaborations. Through (5) training and access to different data analysis software, as well as through an adapted bioinformatics support we aim to facilitate the analysis of large-scale data generated by our technologies.
