Sophie NOVAULT has over 15 years of experience in flow cytometry and cell sorting, she joined Institut Pasteur in January 2014 as the Head of the flow cytometry platform, following 10 years running the Becton Dickinson Training Center France. Sophie has extensive experience in multi-dimensional analysis and cells sorting in different fields including; immunology, cell biology, stem cell biology, large cells and small particules.
Sophie takes a keen interest in education and training of staff and users. She also teaches several flow cytometry courses for the campus and beyond. Sophie is a former member of ISAC (International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry) and of the French flowcytometry Society (AFC).
Since the creation of the Center for Translational Science (CRT), and subsequently of the CB UTechS (C2RT), Sophie is responsible of the Cytometry Activity. She has been using her experience and expertise to develop new methods and applications of existing equipment, ensure the implementation of new, emerging technologies for flowcytometry and to provide excellence in training and teaching of the community.
