The analysis of molecular data can be done at different scales depending on both available data and the underlying biological question. The PAGE expertise pole is composed of research engineers working mainly at the gene or protein level. Their skills range from the collection of sequence data (database searches, annotation of genes in genomic assemblies, protein assemblies) and their classification into homologous groups to the description of their evolutionary relationships, notably through phylogenetic trees.

- Clustering, creation of homologous groups, calculation of pangenomes
- Multiple sequence alignment, phylogeny and related methods (phylogenomics for the study of evolutionary relationships between organisms, inference of ancestral states or traits, estimation of selection pressures, phylogenetic dating, etc.)
