Detection of parasite molecules preferentially expressed on the surface of red blood cells ex vivo for the malaria Plasmodium falciparum by labeling with iodine of parasitized red blood cells. Traditionally, isolation and enrichment, different stages of the parasite Plasmodium falciparum in the blood cells and adaptation of these methods in clinical isolates.
