About
In this research project, we seek to understand whether malaria-causing Plasmodium parasites i) use sensing mechanisms to select the hepatocyte where its replication will unfold and/or ii) promote host metabolic reprogramming upon invasion of the host cell. To address these questions, we are employing advanced single-cell approaches and bioengineered in vitro human liver systems.
