The main goal of our lab is to better understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying normal and pathological cell fates with a particular emphasis on cancer.
To reach this goal, we have three major objectives:
1. Develop a multidimensional, integrated genome-wide profiling approach to dissect hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
2. Reveal the importance of post-translational modifications, specifically SUMOylation, in chromatin biology and gene expression in healthy and disease cells.
3. Identify chromatin and gene network changes during cellular senescence, a stable cell cycle arrest impacting both physiological and pathological aging processes.
