Présentation
Bacteriophages infecting pathogenic bacteria, which have been studied for their in vivo activities and defined as valuable for therapeutic application, are in this project, subject to molecular studies ranging from bacterial receptor identification to viral cycle regulation.
Below is represented the schematic view of the infectious cycle of bacteriophage PAK_P3 infecting Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
This project was initiated by a former PhD student, Anne Chevallereau. Next, Mathieu De Jode took over and now Solène Ecomard is entering the field of genetically-modified bacteriophages.
Anne Chevallereau won the Best Poster Prize during the international conference “Viruses of Microbes IV” held in Liverpool from July 18 to 22, 2016.
Anne Chevallereau won the public PhD prize during the national meeting of the French Society of Microbiology in Paris from October 9 to 11, 2017.
