The research conducted at UMR 3569 aligns closely with the strategic priorities of the Institut CNRS Biology. It focuses on fundamental virology, with the overarching goal of deepening our understanding of viral emergence and the pathogenesis of viral infections. We study viruses of significant public health concern, including coronaviruses, influenza viruses, enteroviruses, and arboviruses, and we investigate the full replication cycle — from viral entry to the release of progeny virions — alongside host immune responses and viral evasion strategies. Our research integrates diverse experimental methodologies, such as molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, structural biology, omics technologies, and advanced imaging.
