Adeline Mallet has worked for over 20 years at the Institut Pasteur in the fields of biotechnology and imaging. She holds a PhD from Sorbonne University, Paris, France. Her doctoral research focused on intraflagellar transport pathways in trypanosomes, using various imaging methods, including state-of-the-art electron microscopy techniques, to locate and study the distribution of particles specific to intraflagellar transport. She is currently in charge of the ultrastructural bio-imaging platform at Institut Pasteur France, a position she will take up in 2021. Her work focuses on advanced electron microscopy techniques, including biological sample preparation, protein immunolocalization with colloidal gold particles and three-dimensional FIB-SEM imaging. In addition, she focuses on integrating fluorescence microscopy with nanoscale imaging to study biological phenomena, making significant contributions to fields such as cell biology and host-pathogen interactions. Her work illustrates the intersection between cutting-edge technology and fundamental biological research to develop new methodological workflows.
