A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem

About

Aude Sturny-Leclère is a Research Engineer involved in multiple research projects, essentially on Cryptococcus neoformans. After spending two years at the Scripps Research Institute (Florida, USA) as a Research Assistant on Prion Diseases, she joined the Mycology Molecular Unit in 2007. Her main field of expertise is molecular and cellular biology and she is also in charge of the technical training of students.

She is particularly interested in the dormancy, Titan cells formation and the metabolism of C. neoformans. She is also involved in the development of new diagnostic methods based on qPCR (fungi and parasites).

For the last five years, she has been involved in field projects. She joined as volunteer the Task Force Ebola (2015) to help implement diagnostic tests in Macenta (Guinea Conakry) and the Task Force Zika (2016), to set up the sero-neutralization protocol in Cayenne (French Guiana) to follow pregnant women who had been exposed to the virus. Since 2016, she is involved in the DREAMM project (Reduce the mortality of advanced-HIV patients exposed to meningitis in Sub-Saharan African countries) as laboratory lead to train the lab technicians to rapid diagnostic tests and basic techniques in microbiology and mycology, and also the clinical staff to TDRs.
