Présentation
PHINDaccess is a twinning initiative aimed to serve as a lever for Omics research performance of the Institut Pasteur de Tunis (IPT), aspiring to raise its positioning as an excellence center in the field of pathogen-host interaction (PHI). This would ultimately improve IPT’s integration into the Euro-Mediterranean research and economic landscape.
Towards this end, a genuine partnership with four world-class European institutions evolving at the forefront of infectious diseases research and Omics science will be established. These leading partners are the Institut Pasteur (IP), the Centeror Genomic Regulation (CRG), the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPG), and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Various strategic and measurable actions will be set up to create at IPT a thriving and sustainable research environment, which fully exploits the tremendous potential of Omics science so as to develop better control and surveillance tools against infectious diseases prevailing in the Mediterranean basin1 2(Leishmaniasis, Tuberculosis, diseases caused by (re)emerging viruses, etc).
PHINDaccess intends to place Omics at the center of IPT’s Research & Innovation (R&I) strategy to sustainably foster scientific excellence with concrete beneficial socio-economic outcomes.
