Our PhD student Pierre Bost receives the “Prix Bettencourt pour les jeunes chercheurs”

Photo prise à l'avant (dans la protrusion) d'astrocytes primaires de rat en migration. Marquage par immunofluorescence montrant en rouge, p150 Glued, une protéine associée aux extrémités 'plus' des microtubules et en vert la tubuline des microtubules. La photographie montre l'accumulation de p150 Glued à l'avant des cellules en migration, où la protéine pourrait participer à l'ancrage des microtubules à la membrane plasmique. Pour essayer de corriger, les dérèglements observés lors de la migration des cellules d'astrocytes tumuraux ou gliomes on cherche à connaitre les mécanismes moléculaires fondamentaux qui controlent la polarisation et la migration cellulaires.

Congratulation to Alain Jacquier for receiving the Prix André Goffeau – 2021 Medal of the Société Française de Génétique

The Société Française de Génétique (SFG) created a medal to honor a geneticist for his/her achievements in the field of Genetics. The medal is awarded during meetings organized or supported by the SFG. The medal is named after a prominent French Geneticist.

In 2021, our depart ment is proud to announce that Alain JACQUIER, head of the Genetics of Macromolecular Interactions and head of the CNRS UMR3525 “Genetics of Genomes” was awarded the 2021 Medal André GOFFEAU.

The medal was presented to Alain JACQUIER during the last “Levures, Modèles et Outils” meeting held in Strasbourg on October, 29th.
