The Innate Immunity Unit (Inserm U1223, Paris, France) is looking to hire degree-qualified (MD, PhD, DVD) post-doctoral fellows to join an ongoing project on human mucosal immunity in the context of respiratory infections. We have recently established a pipeline that can assess mucosal immune responses using nasopharyngeal swabs (Smith, Goncalves et al, Nature Immunology 2021). The project aims to identify determinants of mucosal immunity in healthy individuals and disease cohorts. The Innate Immunity Unit is fully equipped, embedded in the Immunology Department, and has access to state-of-the-art platforms (flow cytometry, single cell analysis, animal facilities including germ-free conditions, microscopy and proteomics). The Institut Pasteur offers a highly dynamic and international academic environment in the center of Paris.

Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of productive research, the ability to work independently and a strong collaborative spirit. Previous experience with microbiome analysis, flow cytometry and/or cytokine assays is highly desirable.

Motivated applicants should send a cover letter, CV, and names/emails for two references to:
