As part of the France-Brazil Season 2025, the Institut Pasteur in São Paulo and the Global Health Department of the Institut Pasteur in Paris co-organised a summer school and an international forum on global health in tropical regions.
These events brought together researchers, students and members of the Pasteur Network from Latin America, West Africa and Europe, as well as representatives from the Institut Pasteur in Paris and members of Global Health Department.
The Amazonian School on Global Health was held from 11 to 15 October in Montenegro (Rondônia). This summer school welcomed 15 young researchers and students selected from nearly 80 international applications.
The forum “Global Health in Tropical Regions: perspectives from Latin America and West Africa in a changing world – French contributions” took place from 20 to 22 October at the Institut Pasteur in São Paulo.
This forum provided an opportunity to share experiences, identify common priorities and strengthen strategic links between partners in the North and South around global health challenges in a context of environmental change.
This project received support from the French and Brazilian organising committees, as well as from FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation).
