The Medical Anthropology and Environment group is an international team of social sciences researchers focusing on multiple global health problems. Based in France, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic and the United States, we are anthropologists, historians, sociologists and ecologists. Some of our projects address human-environment interactions and emerging diseases. Others focus on infant health and vaccination, as well as the problems of diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis B in sub-Saharan Africa.
We also work in close collaboration with other teams at Institut Pasteur and in the Pasteur network.
