A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem
e.g. searching for members in projects tagged cancer

About

I have been working on the epidemiology of Gram-negative bacilli, the characterization of their resistance mechanisms, and the evaluation of diagnostic tools for their identification since 2011. Over the years, I was involved in projects studying important nosocomial and community-acquired pathogens, such as carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriales and Acinetobacter spp., as well as Neisseria gonorrhoeae. During my PhD, I characterized the genetic background mediating colistin resistance in A. baumannii and improved my knowledge on high-throughput sequencing methodologies and genomic data analysis. Since I joined IP, in November 2020, I have been evaluating the dynamics of mobile genetic elements associated with the emergence of antimicrobial resistance in historical Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli.
