About

The Open Microscopy Symposium will take place as a Satellite Symposium at the FENS meeting, on July 8th 2022.

A collaboration between Open Neuroscience, Institut Pasteur and the University of Sussex, sponsored by EMBO, TReND in Africa and France Bioimaging.

We will host a day-long event on Open Source Microscopy and its impacts for research and education. Including hands-on workshops (including UC2, OpenFlexure and Open Labware) in the morning and a series of invited talks in the afternoon. With speakers at different career levels, including a Nobel Laureate, participants will have the opportunity to see excellent Open Source Microscopy projects, how they can improve education and be used for better, reproducible and equitable research!

Please find the full program on the Symposium’s page
