A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem
e.g. searching for members in projects tagged cancer

Postdoctoral positions are available in the Deriano laboratory (the Genome Integrity, Immunity and Cancer Research Unit) at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. We are an enthusiastic team that is willing to welcome and share his passion for science with dynamic, motivated and creative researchers.

The team focuses on the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break (DSB) response and repair and genome maintenance during lymphocyte development and in cancers. Recently, the lab has revealed the function of certain factors in V(D)J recombination, class switch recombination and in normal and pathological lymphopoiesis.

The laboratory is recruiting to work on 1) a project aiming at using programmed DNA recombination processes in B cells to unravel novel mechanisms of DNA end joining regulation and therapy resistance; 2) a project aiming at deciphering mechanisms of alternative NHEJ and testing the role of alternative NHEJ in tumorigenesis.

Research Keywords: DNA damage response and repair, alternative end joining, genome integrity, antigen receptor gene diversification, B cell biology, cancer biology, proteomics, genetics, screens.

Candidates should be highly motivated and be willing to take on intellectual, scientific and technical challenges. The applicant should also have a record of delivering high quality research. Preference will be given to candidates with less than three years of experience after his/her Ph.D.

To apply: We are welcoming applicants from various backgrounds including molecular biology, DNA repair and genome integrity, cancer biology as well as genetics and proteomics. Applicants should send a cover letter with a statement of research experience and interests (motivation letter), a C.V., a list of publications and names of at least two references to Ludovic Deriano (ludovic.deriano@pasteur.fr).

Environment: The Institut Pasteur is a world famous private non-profit foundation focused on the prevention and treatment of disease. The Institut Pasteur brings together three fields of activity – research, education and public health – on its campus with almost 2800 individuals. It is located in the center of Paris in France, in a both culturally and scientifically exciting environment (http://www.pasteur.fr/en). The Institut Pasteur is an equal opportunity employer.
