About

Born and bred in Alsace, France, I did my PhD at the Institut de Biologie Moleculaire et Cellulaire of Strasbourg, in the laboratory of Prof. Jules Hoffmann under the supervision of Dr. Dominique Ferrandon. I investigated the host-pathogen interaction between the insect Drosophila melanogaster and different human fungal pathogens.  As a continuation, I pursued my Post-Doctoral research in the group headed by Prof. Mihai Netea (Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands) and deciphered the host immune system strategies of mammals (using murine models but also human tissues) required to effectively fight life threatening systemic candidiasis. I then went back to France to start my own group in the Institut Pasteur.
