Rachel Lavenir

I’ve been a Labmanager – Senior Research Technician for 19 years.
I have acquired and deepened my knowledge in molecular and cell biology, cell culture, sequence analysis, virology and immunology. I joined the G5 Molecular Diversity of Microbes in September 2023. I’m working on understanding how bacteria defend themselves against viruses. In particular, I work on the Lamassu defense system.

I’m in charge of the experimental and technical aspects, as well as the management of equipment, consumables, orders, etc…

I also look after the unit’s health and safety.
