Partnership between Biomics (Institut Pasteur of Paris NGS platform) and IPTomics (Institut Pasteur of Tunis NGS platform)

Since the end of the European PHINDaccess project (https://phindaccess.org/) where I coordinated the implementation of a new generation NGS sequencing platform at the institut Pasteur of Tunis and contributed to the deployment of ISO9001 (https://research.pasteur. fr/en/project/implementation-of-an-ngs-core-facility-at-institu-pasteur-of-tunis-biomics-as-capacity-building-model/), with Laurence MA and Elodie TURC, I keep supporting and accompaning the technical and managerial staff of IPTomics. This commitment extends until 2023.

The objective is that the members of the IPT core facility became autonomous in the preparation of libraries as well as their control over the iSeq100 sequencer and the sequencing of small genomes.

Currently (Feb 2023), four projects are currently in progress and two to come at IPTomics. Besides, a scientific trip of E. TURC is planned at the IPT to provide training on Whole Exome Genome by the end of May 2023. The objective is to sustain what has been put in place within the framework of WP4 of PHINDaccess, to strengthen the skills acquired during the capacity building experience and to lead the IPT platform to full autonomy in the NGS project management and realisation.
