About
Specific interactions between host and pathogen genotypes are commonly found in invertebrate systems, but their genetic basis has not been elucidated. Such insect-virus genetic specificity plays a critical role in the emergence and evolution of arboviruses. In this project, we propose to use genome-wide genetic mapping and association studies to identify genes involved in the specificity of interactions between dengue viruses their main mosquito vector Aedes aegypti.
