About

My project is to evaluate the risk of emergence of urban yellow fever in Brazil  related to the expansion of the mosquito Aedes albopictus. This project is divided into 2 main tasks: (i) estimation of the susceptibility of Ae. albopictus and Haemagogus leucocelaenus populations to different strains of yellow fever virus (YFV) from America and Africa and (ii) adaptation of viral variants of YFV  for an efficient  transmission by Ae. albopictus. I received a fellowship from Capes-Cofecub (http://www.campusfrance.org/fr/capes-cofecub).
