In 2007, I moved from Italy to Paris to complete my M2. I then carried out my PhD at the Institut Pasteur in Alain Israël’s lab, under the supervision of Neetu Gupta-Rossi, studying the role of Notch signaling in hepatic progenitors (defended in December 2012).
In 2013, I joined Laure Bally-Cuif’s team as a research engineer to investigate the role of Notch in balancing quiescence and activation of adult neural stem cells (NSCs) in zebrafish.
In 2018, I obtained a permanent position in Laure’s lab as a research engineer. I have led an independent project tracking in vivo activity of the Notch3 receptor using new zebrafish transgenic lines that I generated. In 2025, I initiated a new research project on nuclear architecture and chromatin organization in NSCs, mainly applying imaging and image analysis techniques.
Alongside my research, I support PhD students and postdocs, oversee genome editing methods in Danio rerio, and provide expertise in molecular biology and transgenesis. I also manage lab logistics (DNA bank, safety) and contribute to departmental activities, collaborating actively with the Institute’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office on event organization.
