We are happy to announce the next ‘Trypanosomatid parasites: from the field to the lab’ meeting which will take place on May 26th and 27th 2016 at the Auditorium François Jacob of the Institut Pasteur in Paris.

The meeting will start on Thursday 26th at 11am and will continue for almost two days until Friday 27th at 4pm. In order to cover a large panel of research topics, a total of 6 sessions are planned: Epistemology and epidemiology – Diagnosis, drug and vaccine development – Ecology and medical entomology – Immunology and physiology – Cell biology – Genetics and evolution. One keynote lecture will be scheduled for each session, including two special plenary presentations from WHO and Sanofi representatives. A poster session will also take place Thursday late afternoon and accompanied by a cocktail. As usual, the conference diner will be organized in a Parisian restaurant.

This 4th edition of the Trypanosomatids meeting benefits from financial supports from WHO and Sanofi for the organisation. Thanks to our sponsors, registration is free and includes full access to all the conference sessions, coffee breaks, lunches and the cocktail during the poster session. Only the conference diner will be charged to attendees. However, registration is mandatory. Please contact us before April 30th 2016 by email to mailto:frederic.bringaud@u-bordeaux.fr; lkohl@mnhn.fr; rotureau@pasteur.fr.

We strongly encourage PhD students and post-docs to present their recent work to the community. A detailed program of the event will be available in early May.

Looking forward to see you at the ‘Trypanosomatid parasites: from the field to the lab’ Meeting IV,

The organizers,

Linda Kohl, Frédéric Bringaud and Brice Rotureau
