Tri Tho Nguyen obtained his dual degree in mechanical engineer in the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne and Seoul National University where he worked on the development of an aspiration-based 3D printing lung-on-a-chip under the supervision of Professor Noo Li Jeon. He; then, pursued his work in the BMcf platform as an engineer to work on different microfluidic projects. He co-developped the software at the base of the photoablation tool available at the platform and worked on the actuation of hydrogel as an interface for organ on chips.
He is now in the IMI unit working on microfluidic tools for the study of early Mtb infection.
