A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem
e.g. searching for members in projects tagged cancer

About

PhD student at Sorbonne University, ED515 “Complexité du Vivant” in Genetic and Genomic.

School career :
– Licence “Sciences de la vie” at Univeristé Paris Cité
– Master Genetics at Université de Paris / Magistère Européen de Génétique.

Lab career :
– M1 internship : Center for Organismal studies, Maizel Lab – Cell an Developmental Plant Biology (Heidelberg, Germany)
– M2 internship : Institut Pasteur, UMR3525 – Génétique des interactions macromoléculaires (Paris, France)
– PhD : Institut Pasteur, UMR3525 – Cytoplasmic mRNA surveillance in Yeast (Paris, France)

I am passionate about genetics and I am keen on studying the fundamental processes that allow cell survival.

At the beginning of 2022 I did my M2 internship in the Unit “Genetics of Macromolecular Interactions” and more precisely in the group “Translation dependent mRNA degradation“. Here I worked on NMD, one of the best studied mRNA surveillance pathway. My work involved Transciptomic assays such as RNA immunoprecipitation followed by RNA sequencing (RIPseq), but also Genetic engineering as cell transformation using Homologous Recombination. Those experiments are realized on the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a model organism genetic studies.

My goal was to continue my study through a PhD, which I believe crucial to develop a strong knowledge on a specific field, as well as developing a good scientific mind and lots of transversal skills.

At this point, I am finishing my first year of PhD. It has been a very rich year during which I learned a lot, scientifically, professionally, and personally.
