My project aims to investigate the assumption that Aedes aegypti vector competence for dengue viruses might partly result from the mosquito’s ability to modulate viral genetic diversity. I therefore study the impact of mosquito genetic variability, at the species or population level, on the genetic diversity of dengue virus populations during the infection process.
