I’m Mohamad Harastani, a research engineer and scientist working in cryo-electron tomography. I build computational tools and methods that help researchers make sense of complex biological images and see molecular details that are otherwise hidden.
My background is in programming, image analysis, mathematics, and machine learning, and I enjoy applying these skills to real scientific questions. I like solving problems that sit between biology and computation — the kind that require patience, curiosity, and a bit of creativity.
What motivates me most is helping the research community work more efficiently and discover new insights. I value collaboration, clear thinking, and practical solutions. If you’re working on cryo-EM, imaging, or scientific computing, I’m always happy to connect and learn from others.
