Anaïs obtained her master’s degree at the “National Museum of Natural History” in Paris. She worked in the lab of Philippe Grellier with Linda Duval, and she studied the diversity and host specificity of Haemosporidia parasites (more specifically 2 genera of Haemosporidia parasites Plasmodium and Haemoproteus) in the raptors in France with morphological, molecular and phylogenetic approaches.
Anaïs joined the group to start her PhD in October 2022. Her project is “Deciphering the tubulin code in the protist Trypanosoma brucei brucei” and it has two mains objectives: use two different genetic approaches to study the functions of presumably essential proteins tubulin glutamylases (the Auxin-induced degradation system and a gene deletion with inducible complementation) and investigate the individual role of glutamylated residues by mutagenesis of tubulin and thus study the global role of tubulin glutamylation.
