A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem

About

Imaris presentation and training.

The Image Analysis Hub of the Institut Pasteur (https://research.pasteur.fr/en/team/image-analysis-hub/) and Georgia Golfis from Bitplane (http://www.bitplane.com/), organize a day dedicated to a hands-on introduction to Imaris (http://www.bitplane.com/imaris/imaris).

Imaris is a commercial software for bio-image analysis and visualization, developed by Bitplane. Imaris is already used a lot in the Institute and the IAH offers access to a fully fledged license of Imaris.

The training will happen on Friday the 15th of February, from 10am to 6pm, in the Francois Jacob building of the Institut Pasteur. After a presentation of Imaris capabilities, attendants will be trained to use Imaris following several hands-on sessions, with Imaris training licenses provided by Bitplane. It will cover basic functionalities in data import, visualization, and will also deal with image analysis using specialized Imaris modules.

You need to bring your own mouse and a laptop, and it must be suitable for 3D image analysis (see below for minimal configuration requirements). If you really do not have access to one, we can provide one, but as their number is very limited, please only ask in extenuating circumstances.

Recommended and supported hardware.

Here is a list of supported and recommended hardware for Imaris:
It is very important that you BRING A MOUSE.
