A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem
e.g. searching for members in projects tagged cancer

The Molecular evolution and phylogenetics is a 4-session module of the Introduction to Bioinformatics  Training 2020 (IBT) organised by Pan African Bioinformatics Network for the Human Heredity and Health in Africa (H3ABioNet) consortium. It is a blended learning course – mainly virtual: the trainer records videos and e-meets students at the end of each lesson for a question and answer session.

The Molecular evolution and phylogenetics is a 4 theoretical and 4 practical session module introducing molecular phylogenetics, its main concepts, problems and methods used in the filed: phylogenetic tree reconstruction with distance-based, maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood methods, probabilistic models of molecular evolution, molecular clock models, phylogenetic tree dating and phylogeography.
