I am a bioinformatician with a solid biology background and strong expertise in the analysis of many types of omics data (mainly transcriptomics, genomics and epigenetics) both single-cell and bulk.
After a bachelor in Molecular Biology and a MS in Bioinformatics, I became a bioinformatician in an Italian hospital (Ospedale Casa Sollievo, IT), working on several research projects mostly in he context of cancer research.
During my PhD in Life Sciences and omics at ‘La Sapienza’ University (Rome), I worked on graph-based approaches and the use of network-based rationale to tackle biological challenges.
I later continued this work during a joint Postdoc (University of Milan, Human Technopole and European Institute of Oncology, Milan) where I worked on frameworks for the integration of network mined from public databases or inferred from omics data in the fields of developmental biology and cancer research.
I joined the Bioinformatics HUB on October 2023 and I am now detached in the ML4IG lab of Dr. Laura Cantini, where I apply the computational methods developed in the lab to internal collaborations.
