About
The PPU-Oxford program is a partnership between the Institut Pasteur and the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford which fosters synergistic projects to fight Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) between the Institut Pasteur and the Oxford Chemistry Department through a joint PhD student exchange program.
It aims at developing new chemical agents to fight AMR, including:
- chemical probes to better understand the biology underlying AMR
- new leads for therapeutic agents that are urgently needed.
After years of pandemic and online meetings, the PPU-Oxford members will be reunited in London during this second edition of the PPU-Oxford Summit : “Chimie Biologique” – Linking Chemistry and Microbiology to fight human Infectious Diseases. It will combine short talks by the PPU Students, and longer presentations from the different PIs involved in the PPU to tackle AMR.
The scientific conference will be opened by Stewart Cole, President of the Institut Pasteur.
