Graphical results of the survey
(January – September 2017, based on 40 answers).
You will find here a synthesis of the results of the satisfaction survey for the activities of the Transcriptome and EpiGenome platform over the last 9 months. This synthesis is based on a questionnaire sent to our users at the end of each project. We received 40 answers from 8 Departments and some external teams.
Most of the answers concerned the RNAseq (70%).
The first question concerns the global satisfaction of the work performed at the platform. Nearly 90% of the users are either satisfied (34%) or very satisfied (53%).
Other questions relate to more specific activity indicators like the support for project construction, the technology proposed, the data analysis and the data quality. For these the evalution is very positive (70-80% of answers from good to excellent).
Even if the question of the costs is considered as globally positive, 15% of our users consider that this needs improvement. Nevertheless, reducing the cost is not possible since we invoice you at our cost.
The time for sample processing is a key issue. Around 80% of our users consider that the turnaround time is sufficient (21%), good (21%) or excellent (38%). Nevertheless, 20% of our users are not satisfied and consider that this needs improvements (13%) or is insufficient (8%). For service activity (sequencing of libraries prepared by the users), the turnaround time is around 1-3 weeks (from sample reception to raw data delivery). For collaborations, the time is around 1-2 months depending on the complexity of the project. It includes the bioinformatical and statistical analyses.
The last question concerns the probability that our users would come back to the platform for another project. The answer is clearly positive, the very vast majority of the users are ready to work again with the platform !!!
We thank all the users who have taken some time to answer these questions and are taking your remarks into account. We will regularly update this synthesis by integrating new answers.
