Présentation
In the frame of a collaboration with Stephen Cusack (EMBL Grenoble) we showed that the direct interaction of the influenza virus polymerase (FluPol) PA subunit to the phosphorylated C-terminal domain of the cellular RNA Polymerase II is essential for viral mRNA transcription (Lukarska et al, Nature 2017). Extending our collaboration with Stephen Cusack, we are undertaking functional and structural characterisation of the interaction between FluPol, the RNA Polymerase II and other transcription-related host-factors, in the frame of the ANR-funded project FluTranscript. We are also following-up with previous work related to the splicing of viral mRNAs (Fournier et al, PLoS Pathogens 2014; Ashram all, PNAS 2019).
