Présentation
We are interested in understanding how variation in morphogentetic processes we have uncovered in chick and mouse can result in variation in shapes and patterns observed in nature. For example we are interested in understanding how variation in limb initiation processes can explain limblessness in snakes or how other species break Left/ Right symmetry.
We plan to work on non-model system embryos such as those of Emu, Ostriches, Snakes, Lizards and Turtles in order to identify how specific morphogenetic process compare to those observed in chick and mouse embryos from an evolutionary perspective.
