It is with a great sadness that we learned about the loss of Pascal Roux whom passed on Wednesday 28 August. Unfortunately, due to his long absence these last two years, some among you had no chance to know Pascal when he was active in the team, but for those fortunate enough to have worked with him you will agree it was a pleasure and a privilege. Everyone that knew Pascal has their own unique special memories and connection to him because he gave us all each individually some special part of himself; whether it was training, know-how, constructive friendly advice, or even a shoulder of support when times seemed hard. Pascal was always there for us all, stalwart, honest, good-natured, and always well intentioned. He was a good person, that helped everybody without question or judgement. A true Pasteurian, a humanitarian, and someone who always tried to give more.
True to his character, Pascal requested that no service be held in his memory, and that his body be donated to science. In light of this we are trying to decide how to proceed in order to remember him. Currently, his colleagues are gathering memorabilia and testimonials to give to his family and will appreciate any photos, or other memories you may wish to share, and any other efforts or acts of condolence you may wish to contribute.
He will be greatly missed
