Présentation
Amira Software Workshop.
The Image Analysis Hub of the Institut Pasteur and Thermo-Fisher Scientific™, organize a day dedicated to a hands-on introduction to the Amira software.
Amira (and its partner software Avizo) is a commercial software for bio-image analysis and visualization. Its use is well established for electron-microscopy images, but its capabilities have been recently expanded to also deal with light-microscopy images, possibly over time, with multiple channels.
This short workshop will happen on Wednesday the 19th of June, from 10am to 4pm, in the Lwoff building (room 22) of the Institut Pasteur. After a presentation of Amira capabilities, attendants will be trained to use Amira following several hands-on sessions. It will cover basic functionalities in data import, visualization, and will also deal with image analysis using specialized modules.
You need to bring your own mouse and laptop, and it must be suitable for 3D image analysis (see below for minimal configuration requirements). Training licenses will be provided to attendees by Thermo-Fisher.
Attendees should feel free to bring their datasets as well.

Registration.
Registration is free for people working on the campus of the Institut Pasteur.
We have seats for about 15 people, first come first serve. Inscriptions will close on the 14th of June. As a mark of respect to those who could not be accepted to the course, we ask all guests to attend to the full extend of the course. If you cannot make it to this course, there will be others later.
