About

La recherche translationnelle requiert une collaboration étroite entre médecins et chercheurs, et nous pensons que parmi les défis qui se présentent, celui de donner aux chercheurs une mini « éducation médicale » est important afin de faciliter le dialogue entre les deux partenaires.  

Nous avons commencé cette « éducation » en proposant aux chercheurs d’assister à des séminaires médicaux appelé « Quart d’heure Pasteur–Médecine » qui rencontrent un vif succès.

Nous mettons maintenant en place une nouvelle formation pour les chercheurs, sous la forme d’un séjour d’observation de deux semaines à l’hôpital, intitulé « des souris et des hommes ». Ce type de stage existe déjà actuellement à l’University College London, où il est très apprécié.

Comment cela marche ?

Pour le moment, cette possibilité est offerte aux employés de l’Institut Pasteur. Les chercheurs, aidés par nos soins, identifient selon leurs intérêts thématiques un « tuteur hospitalier » dans un service de l’AP-HP ou à l’hôpital Sainte-Anne. Ce tuteur établit avec eux leur emploi du temps et est chargé de leur faire découvrir le monde hospitalier (le service clinique, les différents services de biologie avec lesquels il interagit, le centre d’investigation clinique…).
