Daniel Hamaoui obtained his PhD from the University of Nice Côte d’Azur in the Lab of Dr. Emmanuel Lemichez. During his PhD, Daniel worked on the ubiquitylation of RhoGTPases in relation to mechanosensing and cell cycle progression. Daniel joined the group of Dr. Agathe Subtil in January 2017, where he will work on Chlamydia trachomatis evading xenophagy in order to sustain a complete developmental cycle in host cells
