Daria Kosmala is a PhD student in the Fungal Biology and Pathogenicity Unit headed by Christophe d’Enfert. Her studies focus on molecular mechanisms underlying niche restriction in the specific cluster of Candida albicans, known as C. africana.
She studied at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, where she obtained a Bachelor degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Microbiology. During her Master’s thesis, she focused on the involvement of Nudix hydrolases in Pseudomonas aeruginosa virulence. After graduation, she worked for two years at Warsaw University of Life Sciences in the project aiming at developing innovative macrophage-based drug delivery systems to solid tumors.
