Our team focuses on the use of human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC) derivatives as a key biological resource for basic and translational research on neurological diseases. Our main objectives are 1) to investigate the molecular basis of brain cells regional vulnerability in Huntington’s disease and Synucleinopathies exploring in particular dysfunctional neuron-glia interactions during neurodegeneration, 2) to develop and use innovative cellular disease models based on hPSCs for drug discovery or drug validation and 3) to develop methods to optimize the efficacy of cell therapy for Huntington’s disease using hPSC-derived grafts.
