With a research background in social sciences, I joined the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics HUB at Institut Pasteur to conduct the study of gender speaking differences in academia. The study is based on the JOBIM (Journées Ouvertes en Biologie et Mathématiques) 2021 conference with an aim to deconstruct gender disparities and biases in the context of scientific conferences.
I focused my previous studies on the subjects of anthropology and intercultural management. I was experienced in interdisciplinary research projects that develop assessment tools for social innovation and contribute to public policymaking with the purpose of poverty alleviation. My current goal is to implement my qualitative research skills on scientific studies in order to examine different facets of diversity and inclusion (e.g., gender, sexual orientation, and race) and their impacts on relevant academic discourses from an intersectional perspective.
