About
Human cytomegalovirus (CMV) is the first cause of congenital malformation resulting from viral infection, and the leading cause of mental retardation and hearing loss.
We are assessing the impact of congenital CMV infection on the central nervous system in mice and humans.
This proposal will provide new insights on the central and peripheral mechanisms involved in the neurosensory handicaps of CMV-infected children, and may contribute to an optimization of their medical monitoring.
