I am a young investigator working at the Virology department (Institut Pasteur de Dakar), which hosts the WHO collaborating center for arbovirus and hemorrhagic fever viruses and the regional reference yellow fever laboratory. According to Institut Pasteur missions, my work is divided between research, public health and training activities.
My research activities are mainly focused on virus-vector interactions, especially on arboviruses transmission (West Nile, Usutu and Rift Valley fever viruses) by mosquito vectors and impact of factors such as viral genetic diversity, mosquito saliva and RNA interference on this transmission.
I also have strong experience in field deployment for public health purposes such as outbreak investigations and control at the national (Senegal) and international levels (West and Central Africa).
