Présentation
Loss of cone photoreceptors in retinitis pigmentosa (RP) leads to complete blindness. The group of Thierry Leveillard at the “Institut de la Vision” showed that injection of the RdCVF protein is a promising therapy for this neurodegenerative disease. This team focuses on the mechanisms of survival cones involving different protein interactions. The PFPR has optimized the production and purification of the main partners of the RdCVF protein that were used for biochemical and cellular studies. Thierry Leveillard (2011-2015).
