AIV Lab meeting in Arromanches in the Calvados, 15 – 17 November 2021
After almost two years locked between the 4 walls of the Institut Pasteur, we went to Normandy to get some fresh air and brainstorm in this amazing place steeped in history. We were expected in a small hotel that we almost all occupied. The staff was lovely and attentive to all of our needs. A white sheet placed on a television in the dining room served as a projection screen. We were 12 and each presented their work followed by intense discussion. We had good food mostly sea food! Before leaving the place, we went to the American Cemetery and Omaha Beach, moments full of emotion… most were younger than our students…
