PURPOSE
The Institut Pasteur Young Scientists Award (IPYSA) has been introduced in 2018 for the Institut Pasteur’s 130th anniversary.
The 2025 edition of the IPYSA prize is intended to recognize outstanding contributions of one PhD and of one Postdoc, who have first-authored a high-level research paper published or accepted for publication in 2024.
Each prize consists of € 1,500.
ELIGIBILITY
- Self-nominations are not allowed
- The prize only recognizes work performed at the Institut Pasteur, Paris or in a Pasteur laboratory situated in Metropolitan France.
- The prize is awarded to a single first authorship or to joint first authors (no more than two co-authors) of a manuscript accepted for publication between 01.01 – 31.12.2024
- Each prize consists of € 1,500. However, in case of co-authorship the prize money will be shared between the two individuals.
- Each Institut Pasteur host laboratory can present only one application (either a PhD or a Postdoc) per prize session.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 8th, 2025
PRIZE SELECTION:
An ad hoc Prize Committee will review the eligible applications and select one laureate in each prize category (PhD, Postdoc)
Laureate selection is subject to approval by the President of the Institut Pasteur.
