Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cellular and Network Neuroscience (Available from June 2022 till August 2024 with possibility for extension)
Location: Institut Pasteur (Paris), Department of Neuroscience, Laboratory for Perception & Memory (Headed by PM LLEDO)
Salary: €36k-€43k p.a.
Grade: Postdoc
Contract Type: Fixed term
Basis: Full time.
Position available from June 1st 2022 to August 31st 2024
We are seeking an enthusiastic postdoctoral research associate to pursue an ambitious project aiming at investigating the crosstalk between the central nervous system and peripheric immune system in the context of brain-to-gut communication.
The candidate will use cutting-edge in vivo imaging techniques, viral-genetic circuit tracing, classical conditioning behavioral tasks, together with opto- and chemogenetic approaches in order to investigate the neural circuits linking high-order associative centers, autonomic brain-to-gut processes and intestinal neuro-immune interactions.
The candidate will interact between two groups, the “Perception and Memory” Unit (Neuroscience Depart.) held by Prof PM Lledo and the “Microenvironment & Immunity” Unit (Immunology Depart.) held by Prof G. Eberl at the Institut Pasteur in Paris.
Applicants should have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related field, with experience in stereotaxic surgery, immunochemistry and mouse behavior. A background in in vivo neurophysiology and calcium imaging would be an advantage.
